I’m Peter. I currently work as a high school graphic design teacher in Steilacoom, WA. In my spare time I run a design company – Detective Media. I first got interested in tiny houses when I serendipitously walked past the Seattle RV show in February 2013 and saw a tiny house on display from Seattle Tiny Homes. As I walked past my head turned, gears in my brain started cranking, and I haven’t stopped thinking about tiny houses since.
My wife has had to put up with so much tiny house talk… she is kind enough not to force me to shut up all the time. After some considerations and questions she is now totally on board and up for the adventure of a tiny house. She has given lots of great input and moral support and has been a part of the design process from the start.
My dad has been a huge supporter of my “crazy” plan. He’s dedicated many a weekend to helping me build this bad boy and hopefully will continue to as the project goes on. He’s given my lots of valuable design ideas and advice for engineering this thing (it helps that he’s an engineer and a longtime RV owner and has gone through several remodels on his own house). He’ll help me with whatever he can and we’ll rely on other friends for help where it’s needed.
